Before Midnight

Finally this movie launched in June 2013. I already got it from my friend view days ago, after I begged him to download it from the office. I have waited this sequel for a long long time. Not just me I think, perhaps everyone who knows this romance movie also did it. Unfortunately, the English subtitle is not available yet, even less bahasa. So, i had to practice my listening again, even though it didn’t work in some part. Hahaha. But at least I have known its story line.

After watched before Sunset, probably everyone expected that its sequel could be nicer. Jesse would marry Celine, and they would have a gorgeous  family. Jessie would become a famous author and Celine would become a brilliant activist. And their life must be really challenged. If your imagine like that too, may be you’ll get disappointed with this sequel. Yaaa, they're married, but their life and relationship is not as smooth as Cerrybelle's thigh.

At the first time, I felt very broken heart with it. As an Indonesian, I always hope that every movie must sell an idealist life and happy ever after ending. Hahahha.

But, this movie for once again, show us its brilliant, that life is not easy, that life couldn’t be like a fairy tale. They don’t sell the high fantasy. And that's the point and critics of this movie. The people like celine who have an idealism and concern for the better word, could be alienated by this system. You can say that Celine gave up, but Celine still the same person “crazy and briliant”. And it happens to many people. 

I will not tell you about the story yet, I'll just keep you wondering, hihih. Just watch it.

Tuhan sungguh baik, masih membawa kita pada detik ini, dengan oksigen yang cukup, dengan makanan yang cukup, dan rasa syukur yang mencukupkan segalanya.
